CES2016

18 Jan

Our team entered the CES nice and early to catch a glimpse on all the fun of the show…

Amongst the 100,000 people that inundated the halls, we were surrounded by the latest technology of 2016. Ofcourse, our eyes were glued on the display of drones…

The CES exhibited a variety of drones in all different shapes and sizes, each with their own distinctive capabilities. The display sure did draw attention to those passing by and we couldn't wait to get up close and personal with them.

It was hard to select a particular stand out as there were a few major announcements made by the larger manufacturers. Without a doubt, DJI and Parrot were the creme de la creme of the lot.

Major announcements made by the top manufacturers captured the attention of all attendees at the CES. DJI was first to release their latest Inspire 1 Pro Black Edition, an identical replication of it’s original, inspired by high-end filming equipment. In addition, DJI released the Phantom 3 4K drone to join their Phantom 3 Series. This particular drone is identical to the Phantom 3 Professional however it’s controller is the same as the Phantom 3 Standard (2.4GHz Wifi video download and a flying range of up to 1.2km). Purchase the Phantom 3 4K or Inspire 1 Pro Black Edition now available at Sphere Drones.

There is no way to describe the display put on by Parrot other than the word ‘unreal’. The team introduced their Disco drone, the first ready-to-fly drone with fixed wings. All you have to do is give it a shake and throw it up into the air! This lightweight drone works with either a tablet or smartphone displaying footage taken from it’s front camera.

Overall, we had an incredible experience at the #CES2016 and cannot wait to expand our product range this year! Exciting times ahead for all!
