DJI Phantom 2 Vision Range

Q: I am interested in the above aircraft, does this include FPV, if not what would this cost? What is the max range I could get, looking for around  1,000 to 2000 meters. What would this cost? What range do I get out of standard product?

A: The Vision model, whether the plus or standard are inclusive of FPV. Using your iPhone. The max range for the FPV side of things is 700m. I personally haven't pushed it that far as i much prefer to have sight of the drone and at 700m it is simply a dot in the air. The amazing capability of all phantoms is that exceeding control range of the remote control will trigger 'return to home'. The Phantom will automatically fly back to its take off point and land safely. The Phantom 2 with H3-2D/3D Gimbal is a product that you would get the most range out of. The difference is the Vision transmits on a 5.8Ghz frequency (less range 700m) and the standard Phantom 2 with Gimbal transmits on a 2.4Ghz frequency (more range - i can imagine 1.5km) To get this setup to support downlinking footage to the ground is quite simply done with our FPV Combo Kit. Found Here (http://sphere.net.au/collections/fpv-gear/products/sphere-fpv-combo-monitor-iosd-mini-fpv-cables-and-hub-5-8ghz-downlink). To get more of an understanding on the generalised difference between the vision and gimbaled phantom we have created a blog found here (http://sphere.net.au/blogs/news/12678945-phantom-2-with-h3-2d-gimbal-vs-phantom-2-vision).
