Brief
Previously working with our team, Jayden from CTRL Media reached out looking to get the company prepared, from the regulations side of things, for an increase in commercial and cinematic content output, which requires larger drones to support larger payloads.
The team currently use a DJI Mavic 3 CINE for cinematic and high-resolution projects, a DJI FPV for fast-paced action projects, and numerous DJI Mini drones to capture portrait content.
Solution
After getting a better understanding of the CTRL Media’s requirements, we set Jayden and the team up with a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator’s Certificate (ReOC) for the company, and Remote Pilot Licences (RePL) for the team flying drones up to 25kg, which also includes an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC).

Result
This process was made really easy for the company and employees, with very clear communication and organisation. Many questions came up along the way that related to forms and formalities with CASA and the organising body that ran the course. Sphere was able to help answer all the questions we had and Sphere staff we’re extremely capable, knowledgeable in the field and responsive.

After completing the requirements to become a ReOC certified company and the flight training required to receive a RePL, CTRL Media and the team are now ready to go for larger projects requiring larger drones.
