DJI FlyCart 30 delivery drone Australia

DJI has announced its first low-altitude delivery drone solution, DJI FlyCart 30. FlyCart 30 supports package deliveries of up to 30kg, 16km range when loaded, a new dual-battery system, dual-safety systems, 4G image transmission, RC Plus compatibility, and more.

DJI has released the DJI FlyCart 30 outside of China, including availability in the United States and Australia.

FlyCart capabilities

FlyCart 30 is capable of carrying a maximum load of 30kg up to 16km when using two batteries. When flying with zero added weight it can fly up to 28km. It has a maximum flight altitude of 6000m and operates in temperatures of -20°C to 45°C.

Single battery

  • 40kg maximum weight

Dual batteries

  • 30kg maximum weight
  • 16km maximum loaded range
  • 28km maximum empty range

The drone comes in two configurations, one that keeps the package locked in place under the drone, and another that uses a tether to lower the package down to the delivery point.

DJI has equipped it with O3 image transmission for a 20km range with dual camera control, 4G link, and FPV camera, a max flight speed of 20m/s, wind resistance of 12m/s, and an IP55 rating.

    FlyCart 30 safety features

DJI has equipped its first delivery drone with a parachute out-of-the-box that uses a separate power supply, automatically stops the propellers on release, and sounds an alarm making anyone nearby aware of the drone.

Addiotnially, DJI has added an alternate landing function, which allows the drone to land in alternative and known safe location in case of an emergency. During take-off and landing, the drone sounds an alarm, features a delayed propeller start during take-off, and is compatible with RTK modules for increased precision.

DJ has also equipped it with dual radar and dual vision obstacle avoidance sensors, as a well as a new dual battery system, which can be used with a single battery, if required.

    DJI Transport

To help users manage and effectively deploy the new FlyCart 30, DJI has released DJI Transport, a one-stop cloud platform that can efficiently plan and monitor active missions, manage team members, and share data insight.
