DJI releases update fixing the Mini 2's battery issues

DJI has released a fix for its Mini 2 drone, fixing the battery discharge issue that was first found a month or two ago. The update has also added support for the Smart Controller and has fixed a few other bugs.

We highly recommend you update the Mini 2 ASAP to ensure the drone and batteries are safe while being stored and not in use.

Steps to update

  1. Open the DJI Fly app
  2. Power on the Mini 2 controller and Mini 2
  3. The update should automatically start downloading (this can be seen in the top left of the screen). If it doesn't automatically begin downloading, click on the prompt in the top left corner.
  4. Once downloaded, click install
  5. Power on the drone, repeat with all the batteries you have
  6. Enjoy flying!

You can find the full contents of the update here. If you have any questions, contact us via the live chat button in the bottom
